after lunch, put my music playlist to shuffle and im all set to do homework. i put on my earphones and did Accounts. on sunday. blahhh. people are supposed to rest on Sundays. not me. anyways, Accounts was quite fun lah. not bad. i like it. =) finished it and came online. gonna go nap after finishing this episode of BOF. awesome Kim Bum lah.

i went for BM tuition just now. and i dunno why. i was very giddy the whole tuition. it sucked. and those AMC people sitting somewhere in front of our table are VERY annoying. they kept talking NON STOP and they don do their work. brainless pigs. and that Punjabi guy sitting indirectly next to our table is BAD. very bad. he vandalised the table. i was so pissed at the AMC pigs then he went and made me even more pissed. so pissed that i didnt have the mood to talk to anyone. he just stare off into nowhere and don do his work. pity the teacher larr. after tuition mum brought me to eat KFC. shit. all the fats.


EARTH HOUR. half failed it. because.. well. aunt said, nevermind lah. just on everything. only one house on lights no one will realise one. lol. so i went and on my room's lights, fans and even the air cond. SO SORRY JOEVY. but sis barged in and said, off the light lah. earth hour ah. so aunt repeated the same thing she said to me. sis: *laughs* god. if everyone thinks this way, our earth die larr. hahaha. TRUE. so she off the light and everything. my fan is cool. when you off it, the light on it will light up. i was reading, so i put my book up to it so i can read. BUT the stupid light started blinking. so cant read. realised the living hall's lights outside my room was still on. so quickly ran outside and read. aunt just selamba-ly on the Tivo and kena scolding from sis. hahaha. sis off the lights here too. bugger. the realised the toilet in mum's room was bright. hahaha. they were washing up. and the toilet is spaceous. so went and sat in there. HAHAHA. sis followed me in and started msging. bro was like, THIS IS SO WEIRD. ME AND MUM NORMAL LAH. BUT YOU*points at sis* MSGING WHILE HOLDING A BOTTLE OF CHLOROPHYLL DRINK. AND YOU*which means me* READING IN A TOILET. hahahaha. awesome right? so i ended up sitting at the sofa in the living hall outside. listening to music on my phone using my head phones of cos. while using the light of my phone to shine on my book. HAHA. and continued reading till i realised the CCTV' TV in my parents room gives out light. so went and sat beside it and read till i finished the book. LAUGH OUT LOUD. and BTW, sorry JOEVY. again. Dad switched on the Tivo at 9. haha. and aunt was watching Tivo upstairs too. big SWEAT.


so now watching BOF episode 13. WHILE watching some korean show on Tivo. multitasking. and aunt cant stand my overflowing closet. she's helping me tidy it now. haha. she said, when she opened my closet and everything fell out. she had to stuff everything in and QUICKLY close it.


dad bought an iPhone just now. but only going to get it tomorrow. CANT WAIT. =))

In his interview with ISplus (reporter Kim Sung Eui) published on March 18, Kim Hyun Joong reveals what he wears to sleep, how he takes care of his skin, and who he wants to act with.

IS: Who is your favourite athlete?

KHJ: Kim Yuna. I fell under her charm while watching her compete in the world championships last year on TV when I was staying with SS501 in Japan last year. It was impressive to see her not get timid but confidently express herself although she was facing stiff competition from people like Japan's Asada Mao. Even when she slipped on the ice, she maintained her composure, got up immediately, and put on a skating performance. That scene is unforgettable to me. Although she is younger than me, I could learn from how - no matter what the circumstance - she approaches everything that has to be done with the confidence that she is world-best.

IS: Who do you want to meet the most - in Korea or abroad?

KHJ: Definitely Seo Taiji. I listened to a diversity of music since I was young, but I admired and was envious of foreign music; particularly the rock genre. Seo Tai-ji & Boys' I Know was my favourite song when I was a student. I was extremely surprised that music like this came out in our country too. Upon hearing Ultra Mania, I made up my mind that I had to become a singer. I want to [meet and] say hello to the senior I respect, and also discuss music [with him] afterwards.

IS: Is there a skill/talent that you�ve worked on fine-tuning since you were a student?

KHJ: I played bass for a band during high school. I�m pretty good at guitar. If there's a certain new theme (motif) that comes up, I enjoy expressing it on the guitar. I like the guitar so much that during my stay in Japan, I spent an entire day searching to acquire a rare guitar.

IS: Who is number 1 on your cellphone speed dial?

KHJ: I'm not smart, but I generally memorize the phone numbers that I use. I don't specifically set speed dial.

IS: Which objects do you always carry around in your bag?

KHJ: Contact lenses and solution, a razor to shave my facial hair (five o'clock shadow) that has a bluish-greenish tinge, an extra pair of underwear and socks for overnight filming shoots - that's all.

IS: Is there an actress you'd like to star opposite?

KHJ: Lee Hyori nuna. She was my ideal woman before I debuted as a singer, and following my debut, she is a senior I'm grateful to for giving me a lot of counsel. I want to show Hyori nuna that I've grown enough to work on something together with her.

IS: Is there a place you'd particularly like to go on vacation? Who do you want to go with?

KHJ: I've lived by Songpa-gu since I was young. They're friends that I've spent most of my life with. I fear nothing when I'm with these friends. I want to go on a vacation to outer space with my friends and take on a new challenge against the limitations of life. Has this become too unbelievable?�

IS: What is your life motto?

KHJ: Since you were already born, you should work hard to make your name known, help your less fortunate neighbours while living a life that earns respect.

IS: Do you have any jinxes, superstitions or customs?

KHJ: Not any jinxes; I could say it's a habit? No matter where we go, I think I always pay for the meals. When I get stressed, I go on fishing trips or listen to music.

IS: What will you do if your parents oppose your marriage like Boys Over Flowers' Gu Jun Pyo?

KHJ: I'll push forward with it. I'm prepared to take responsibility for my life and am ready to stand up against my parents if it's somebody that I believe I'll spend the rest of my life with.

IS: What is your drinking capacity? Which alcohol do you like, where do you drink and with whom?

KHJ: I drink a lot. Soju. The location does not matter. With members [of SS501] or friends. A simple food cart (stall) is okay. [Grilled] pork and kimchi with soju is the best.

IS: What is the one biggest difference between before and after appearing on Boys Over Flowers?

KHJ: The age range of people who recognize me has widened. The character of Ji Hu itself has been an instrument (opportunity) for another Kim Hyun Joong to be born.

IS: A life crisis - when was the most perilous time so far in your life?

KHJ: When climbing up and coming down [Mount] Halla San on our farewell vacation on MBC's We Got Married. It took five hours to go up, and 2 hours to come down. I thought it would be easy to climb, so I rashly ran up like a man, but my breath filled up to my chin. When coming down, I didn't think I'd be able to get down if I paused at all from running, so I ran down without a break within two hours. In the end, I got to the sleeping quarters and passed out without even being able to film the final (closing) interview.

IS: If you get 10 billion won in your hand from winning the lottery, how would you distribute it to spend?

KHJ: I'd give 5 billion won to my parents and 1 billion won to Lee Ho Yeon, the president of DSP Entertainment. I'd give 2 billion won to the less fortunate, and I'd like to share the remaining 2 billion with my friends.

IS: Do you have a secret to skincare? What is one skincare requirement for skin like a white gem?

KHJ: I receive treatment from the dermatologist often. Is my answer too honest? Keke. I try to always wash my face cleanly (well).

IS: Do you have any sleeping habits?

KHJ: I sleep only in my underwear. I can't endure heat, so I've slept wearing just underwear since I was little. I like wearing just underwear to sleep because I like the cool, soft feeling of the blanket touching my skin.

IS: Have you ever left a comment (reply) on the Internet?

KHJ: I don't read negative comments about myself much. There have been times when after reading people's assessments of me on fan pages, I have written my own opinions. Sometimes I post my feelings publicly, other times I post them privately. I often write harsh critiques of myself as well. I use Daum on the Internet frequently.

IS: If you get a girlfriend or if you have one now, is there endearing nickname you want to call her?

KHJ: I [would] just call her by her actual name. Unlike Ji Hu, I do not have a meticulous or gentle personality. I would like my girlfriend to be a person who is as comfortable as a friend.

IS: Approximately when did you date your last girlfriend? How long ago was it, what age and what occupation does she have?

KHJ: We broke up right after I debuted, haha.

IS: If you get a girlfriend, what kind of present would you most want to receive from her?

KHJ: Actually, I'm more familiar with giving gifts rather than receiving them. Even if there was something I wanted to receive, I couldn't tell her and just bought it myself. To that person I'm most grateful towards, nothing I give would be wasteful.

IS: Name a characteristic that you're jealous of from each F4 member.

KHJ: Min Ho's height, Beom's maturity, Joon hyung's personality?

IS: If you were given a perfectly [schedule-]free day, what would you want to do?

KHJ: I want to sleep the entire day.

IS: (Who manages your income?) How do you manage your income?

KHJ: I�ve held part-time jobs since I was young, so I automatically managed my own income. My parents trust me.

IS: So far in life, what has been your greatest fortune?

KHJ: That I have my "testicles" friends that I've known since elementary school? Also, the fact that I'm a member of the group SS501.

This interview felt so much tougher to translate than Lee Min-ho's. I think Kim Bum uses more flowery language and Min-ho's more straight forward. Sigh, Kim Bum's motto in life escapes me. If someone can translate that and any that I have (not purposefully) left out, I would be much obliged.


IS: The So Yi-jung of Boys Before Flowers seems to be a smooth playboy - a ladies' man.

KB: Thank you for the compliment but in real life, I am quite different. I am shy and do not mingle easily with people, much less attract beautiful women.

IS: Do you have a girlfriend?

KB: I've never had a girlfriend. I have been always too involved in something or other and have not found a girlfriend.

IS: If you had a girlfriend, what would you like her to do for you?

KB: I would like her to cook for me and pack me a nice lunch box. During my busy shooting schedule, I often have to skip a meal. When that happens, I could eat the lunch box my girlfriend has lovingly prepared for me. (Sounds like the way to Kim Bum's heart is through his stomach :-) Hear that girls?)

IS: Who is #1 on your mobile phone speed dial?

KB: I believe it's a "hyung" (elder brother/senior) from my agency whom I call for support. When I have a girlfriend, I would probably change her number to be #1 on my speed dial then.

IS: What would you do if your parents oppose marriage to your chosen one -- much like Boys Before Flowers' Gu Jun-pyo's situation?

KB: If I do not get married to the one I love because of the opposition of those around me, I will regret it for the rest of my life. I will persuade my parent's for their blessing.

IS: What is your motto in life?

KB: Making a mistake once is alright, but don't make it twice. As you live life, you may experience failures and you may make mistakes. However, I do not want to encounter the same defeat from making the same mistake again. It means that although a person can't be perfect, he/she should try his/her best to come close to perfection.

IS: What is your biggest crisis in life to date?

KB: I don't think I have experienced any extra ordinary crisis in my life. I have worked hard to overcome certain things, but I do not consider them crisis in my life.

IS: Do you want to be a tycoon like your character in Boys Before Flowers?

KB: I do not want to be a tycoon, although I am always keen to achieve, and to live out my dream.

IS: Favourite Internet sites?

KB: Daum, Naver and other portal sites because news and information can be obtained very quickly.

IS: What do you always carry in your bag?

KB: Mobile phone and wallet.

IS: Do you have a jinx or habit?

KB: The day before the first day of shooting the drama I could not sleep. However, when morning comes, I go to the set in good spirits and get the job done. The next night, if I don't get to sleep again, my condition worsens.

IS: When you feel stressed how do you solve it?

KB: When I am stressed, I look for my friends. I get de-stressed when I hang out with them, laughing and talking.

IS: Who is your favourite sports star?

KB: Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.

IS: What three things would you bring to a desert island?

KB: Game consoles, DVD player and cell phone. I could watch movies with the DVD player and enjoy the island in between playing games on my console. Why would I bring a cell phone to a deserted island? I saw a CF once where the mobile phone was used to call for a Jjajangmyeon delivery.

IS: If you have a completely free day, what would you do?

KB: I would like to go somewhere to clear my head and unwind.

Oh wow, i can't believe my luck by stumbling upon this interview with Boys Before Flowers star Lee Min-ho on ISPLUS. In my opinion, some of the questions are really personal and you wouldn't get questions like these in a Hollywood interview -- about girlfriends and first kisses etc.

However, Lee Min-ho answers them all in stride. I am trying to be as accurate as possible, and do justice to Lee Min-ho, but all I have to work with are two translation tools (and one pretty much sucks) and my limited Korean.

LMH: Yeah what a silly mistake and I was embarrassed. But my fans did cheer me on and I could see the love of the fans.

IS: What is your motto in life?

LMH: Not to give up on my goals. Victory is not as important as possessing a fighting spirit. My motto is to not give up even if I fail. I think to have that attitude is just beautiful.

IS: What was the biggest crisis in your life to date?

LMH: There was this traffic accident in 2006. I had to stay in the hospital for 6 months. At first I was frustrated and I couldn't even walk. But I am glad I overcame that.

IS: How do you relieve stress?

LMH: Just sleep. Sleep until the stress disappears. I have slept for 24 hours previously. (Ha ha ha...Orchid likes this! I could sleep all day too!)

IS: When and where was your first kiss?

LMH: It was when I was a freshman in high school. I kissed my girlfriend, standing right in front of her house.

IS: What do you think most women want as a gift?

LMH: If I had a girlfriend, that would be good. Women want you to be their best friend. That's the best gift of all.

IS: When was the last time you dated and had a girlfriend?

LMH: When I was 20. I haven't had a girlfriend since University.

IS: If you had a lover, which term of endearment would you use to call her?

LMH: It depends on the style of the woman (literal translation. But i guess he means the term of endearment he will use depends on what kind of woman she is. There is no fixed term for all.)

IS: What if your parents were against your marriage -- like in the character Gu Jun-pyo?

LMH: We will run away and elope.

IS: Which actress would you like to work with in future?

LMH: Song Hye-kyo sunbae. She is elegant and classy and has loads of charisma and possesses excellent acting skills. Should I get a chance to work with her, I would be able to learn a lot and no doubt be very nervous. (Ahem...sounds like he has a crush on Song Hye-kyo.)

IS: Person whom you most want to meet?

LMH: I want to meet Hollywood actor Edward Norton. He has a laid back, comfortable charisma that is so impressive. When I meet him, I will ask "Will you teach me how?" But I must brush up on my English first.

IS: Who is your favourite sports star?

LMH: Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo. It was my dream in elementary school to become a professional soccer player. If I continued to play football, I hope to be a player like Cristiano Ronaldo now.

IS: What's your favourite food and what dish do you cook well?

LMH: I like meat. Recipe? Just roast it. I have a secret roasting process. Beef, pork or chicken, I use the same recipe.

LMH: Cologne / Perfume. I always like to smell nice.

LMH: A bed, lighter and my mobile phone. Having a nice bed to sleep on would be good (yes! i agree with this!!). On a deserted island, your food should be cooked - hence the lighter. I could cook fish. I would be so bored on a deserted island that I would play with all the games I downloaded to my mobile phone.

IS: What do you envy of your F4 members?
